There are many myths people believe about money. They say that time is money, but this is a BIG myth!
People often confuse this issue, because the belief holds that those who spend their time in order to make money, make more money and that this is a fair exchange. But the problem is that you’ve spent your time to do so!
Time is a finite resource – money is not. You can always make more money, it’s imperative to remember this. But time is something that once spent, can never be recovered. We’re only on this planet for a brief moment, so spending that time we’re given upon making a small amount of money in return is neither wise nor profitable in the long run.
What Is Time?
Time is a construct. A minute, hour, week, month, or any other measurement of time, are all entities created by man in order to mark out periods of our lives. When we are born, we essentially hit the button on the clock and watch as our lifespan slowly ticks by.
With each passing year, we move ever closer to our predetermined close. If we view time in this way, then each moment becomes far more valuable than we may have supposed. Viewing time in this way ensures that we do not waste a moment. We come to realise that every single minute is a precious commodity that once spent cannot be regained.
Time, therefore, is not money and can never be. Time is LIFE.
Is cash King?
Money, is also a human-built construct in order to provide a way of exchanging value. If we wish to preserve and maximise our time here, as well as leverage and maximise our income, then you must stop selling your time for small amount of money, and instead invest both your time and your money in order to achieve the best profits.
By investing your money into assets that create a recurring income, then not only do we gain an asset that provides steady revenue, but more importantly, we cease selling our time for that regular income. We spend our life’s time just once, and achieve a far better return on this most valuable of investments.
Another way of maximising the time we have is to make sure that our job is also something we’re truly passionate about. If your passion is also your profession, if your vocation is also your vacation, then you are no longer selling your ticking time, but living and earning at the same time.
We live in a world where the norms imposed upon us by society are no longer as strict or as regimented; people believe so many myths especially related to money. Whereas before, people were simply born to work, exist and eventually die, with little time free to spend with loved ones or in the pursuit of what makes us truly happy, now we have far more in the way of choice.
If we wish to create content, to connect, to influence, then the tools to do so are at our fingertips. If we wish to rise above in creative terms, we can do so. We are now able to turn our passions into information and subsequently education that can benefit the world. In short, anything we wish to do in terms of our passions, can now be our professions if we choose to do so.
Does Time = Money?
